Video Postcard

Send a video as a real printed postcard — worldwide

A video postcard looks like a normal postcard. It arrives in the mailbox like a normal postcard. But point a phone camera at it and your video plays in augmented reality.

A video postcard is a printed physical postcard that plays a personal video when the recipient holds their smartphone camera over it. The front of the card shows a real printed photo — a frame from your video that you chose. The back has a short URL and a message. The whole thing arrives in a real envelope or as a standard postcard through the mail.

ARVideoCards is the only service that creates real printed video postcards and ships them anywhere in the world. You upload the video, pick the printed image, enter the address, and we handle printing, AR linking, and delivery. The recipient just needs a phone browser — no app, no account, no friction.

Think of it as the first time in history you could send a video by post.

Why video postcards beat every other format

More memorable than a text

A video postcard arrives in the physical mailbox — not buried in a chat thread or lost in an inbox. People keep physical cards. They replay the video to friends.

Preserve the video permanently

Phone storage fills up. Social platforms close. Cloud subscriptions end. A printed video postcard is the most permanent way to preserve a video — tied to a physical object that lasts decades.

No app for the recipient

The recipient opens a short URL in any modern phone browser, points the camera at the postcard, and the video plays. Zero friction. No account. No download.

Worldwide delivery

Video postcards from ARVideoCards are shipped to any postal address on Earth. USA, UK, Europe, Asia, Australia — from $3.90 international.

Real printed postcard

Not a digital card. Not an e-mail with a link. A real printed postcard on quality card stock, addressed by hand and mailed by post.

Any video, any occasion

Birthday, travel, family memory, baby announcement, anniversary, New Year — any video works. If it matters enough to remember, it is worth a video postcard.

Video postcard — FAQ

What is a video postcard?

A video postcard is a real printed postcard linked to a personal video. The recipient receives a physical card in the mail. When they point their smartphone camera at the front of the card, the video plays in augmented reality — in the browser, with no app needed. ARVideoCards is the only service that creates and mails video postcards worldwide.

How do I create a video postcard?

Go to ARVideoCards.app, upload your video (up to 60 seconds), scrub to the frame that should be printed on the postcard, enter the recipient's address, and pay. We print the card and mail it. The entire process takes about 3 minutes.

Is a video postcard different from a photo postcard?

Yes. A photo postcard shows a static image. A video postcard shows that same image printed on the front — but when the recipient points their phone camera at it, the full video plays on top of the printed image in augmented reality. Same physical format, completely different experience.

How much does a video postcard cost?

Video postcards from ARVideoCards start at $2.50 for delivery within Switzerland and $3.90 for international delivery. The price includes printing, postage, and the AR viewer link.

Can I use video postcard software without coding?

Yes. ARVideoCards is a consumer product — no coding, no technical setup. Upload your video, pick the printed frame, enter the address, and we handle everything else. The AR technology runs in the background.
